Big Family...50th Wedding Anniversary!

What an amazing story! This couple was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! FIFTY YEARS! WOW! Rather than have a party where they could only spend 5 minutes with each guest in a whirlwind, they decided to pack the car and travel cross country to VISIT each of the special people in their lives! AMAZING! While they were in town visiting their children & grandchildren I was able to photograph them all! Thanks again!! :)

***PORTRAIT PARTIES!!!!!!

Okay, so I caught wind of a GREAT new idea in family photography...Portrait Parties! A good friend of mine, Reb, is doing them out in Wisconsin and they have been a HUGE success! So, I thought I'd give it try to see if there is any interest in good ol Virginia! :)

Here is how it works: Just like a Southern Living/Candle party, the host/hostess invites guests to participate in mini-photo sessions at his/her home or other location...and in return receives a print credit of 20% of total sales from the party. I will be happy to help you work out the details of your party, and will supply you with custom invitations. Guests receive a free mini-session, and in return will be required to purchase at least $75.00 in prints, which is due at the time of the mini session and held as a print credit towards their order.

Each mini-session will be about 20 minutes in length and is for up to four people. If a guest requires more than 30 minutes, or wishes to include more than four people in their session there will be a $50.00 fee.

I will bring a few backdrops to the party so the host need not worry about having the 'perfect' spot in their home. All I need is an average sized room with some good window light. Often I push the dining table out of the way and take advantage of patio/sliding glass doors. Or if the weather is nice, a shaded area in the yard for photos. In order to host a portrait party you must have at least 6 guests book mini sessions.
